How do you pass the time during a flight? What do you bring in your carry-on?
No matter how many times I promised myself to try and sleep throughout the flight, it never happens. It's always either my sleep was rudely interrupted by the cabin crew, trying to shove yet another few hundred tasteless unnecessary calories down my throat; or me spending time contemplating if I should nudge that guy beside me to keep his snoring down. However on my most recent flight, I was fortunate enough to be distracted by a certain flight attendant (or do they still call themselves stewards nowadays?) that looked very much like a young Johnny Depp circa 21 Jumpstreet days :) Hmm... must be those cheekbones, those eyes and the jawline.. Or maybe it was fatigue playing tricks on my tired eyes... I asked Leo and he assured me it was the latter...
I usually have these in my carry-on:
- Passport
- Boarding pass
- Wallet
- Mobile phone
- A bottle of water
- Facial wipes
- Moisturiser
- Makeup
- Mint
- A book (which I never read)
Managed to get away with half a day's work, the excitement of the homecoming trip made the hour long drive in the rain to the bunny sitter almost bearable. Poor little Fattie leaving home for the very first time, well at least he'll get to befriend a few other furry companions. The bunny-sitter's place is like a little island resort for bunnies, complete with a big grassy play pens and individual sheltered hutches. I shouldn't worry too much as it's almost back to nature for Fattie but he's been a domesticated apartment bunny all his life, not too sure how well he will adapt.
Arrived at the airport 3 hours prior, felt so liberated dragging our half empty suitcases all over. Our flight was unfortunately delayed by some very irresponsible passengers who were either stuck in a time warp or were unable to comprehend the 24 hour time format on their boarding passes. The appalling plane food and the extremely uncomfortable lack of legroom aside, a glimpse of the beloved KL skyline was enough to shut me up and put me back into my compact 11E seat.
I am home AT LAST
Just ordered this swanky lil' thing:
Intel Core2 Duo 1.66GHz, 2MB Cache, 667MHz FSB
2G DDR2 SDRAM
80G Hard Drive
Internal 8X DVD+/-RW Combo Drive
256 MB NVIDIA GeForce Go7400
My only gripe will be the 12.1 inch display, might need some getting used to.
But it's gonna be great not having to lug around
my 3.78kg dinosaur of a laptop as this baby weighs just a tad
over 1.98kg :)))
Oh, and JUST 5 more days to go.....
